15JUL2015. Richard SM Bolt, the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Philippines Country Director revisited yesterday and today, several areas in Region VIII's 'Yolanda Corridor'.

Revisiting Leyte and Samar with Ms. Su Chin Teoh - JFPR Grant 9175 Project Officer, Mr. Bolt's mission this time was not only to check on the progress of various recovery interventions funded under its Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction (JFPR), but among many things else, also to witness an 'Infrastructure Pre-implementation Forum' and grace the ground breaking ceremony for a new building to be built inside the Cansumangkay Elementary School in Balangiga, Eastern Samar. This new building will sit beside the just-handed-over building repaired by DSWD Kalahi, also funded by the same grant from ADB's JFPR. (Photo-essay below)
