01JUL15. Grades 2, 3 and 4 pupils at Cansumangay Elementary School in Balangiga, Eastern Samar were happily surprised when some familiar 'guests' joined them at their flag raising ceremony this morning.
DSWD/JFPR and GMU Teams together with Balangiga Kalahi AC, BSPMC and Barangay Reperesentatives trooped early to this school armed with a symbolic key to handover the 3-classroom building repaired with funding from the ADB JFPR Grant 9175 (Sub-component A.1), right after their flag raising ceremony.
Receiving the symbolic key from BSPMC Chair Reymunda Amegable, Cansumangakay Elementary School Principal Rosalina Duque said "we accept with all our hearts this 3-classroom building and we promise to take very good care of this blessing" as she enjoined the schoolchildren to also keep the promise and thank DSWD KALAHI and ABD JFPR for the grant.
The pupils assigned to said 3-rooms were doubly surprised to learn they were already to hold classes at their new rooms after the flag ceremony!
